Mantis Shrimp

I can not express how much I love these lil things! Ze Mantis shrimp! What makes him so special? Well, for starters this lil guy has SIXTEEN color-receptive cones, while us humans only have 3. So in short, this guy sees a crazy-awesome-thermonuclear-imagination defying-rainbow. However, as adorable as he may be, don't let him fool you! His two raptorial appendages in front can accelerate with the same velocity as a gun shot from a twenty-two caliber rifle. Hence why you never see them in a family trip to the aquarium, they can break the glass! But I still love 'em!
